This article was originally going to be about the top 12 inspirational videos by YouTube. It was going to be a combination of inspirational songs accompanied by motivational text, monumental athletic performances, speeches and movie scenes. But as I was putting together the article and selecting the videos, I became really emotional. I thought there is no way that I could sit through 12 videos that pulled on my heart strings the way that these did. So I decided to release the videos in batches. Here are the first three for your viewing pleasure…get out the kleenex.
How to live an extraordinary life
An extraordinary life happens the moment you begin living the life you were meant to live. Many of us look for happiness in things and in other people, but happiness doesn’t come from either of those sources; it comes from how we relate to ourselves and our world.
This video brings into focus the path to leading an extraordinarily happy life.
Finding the secret to you
After seeing The Secret, a movie about the Law of Attaction, I came across this next video. The Law of Attraction is the belief that if you think positive thoughts, you will attract positive results in your life and if you think negative thoughts, you will attract negative results in your life.
The law of attraction doesn’t work by itself, it works in conjucntion with action. For example, if you wanted to run a marathon, it would not be enough just to visualize it, you would actually have to do the training.
I remember you and I still love you
Not all relationships are meant to last “forever.” Just like the summer turns to winter and the winter turns to spring, some relationships are seasonal. And when the season turns, there is nothing that you can say or do to hold on to the relationship. When that time comes, the only thing that you can do is let go and love each other from afar.
Note: Time to get out another box of kleenex

Hi, My name is Lisa. I am a mother, girlfriend, blogger, runner and happiness seeker.
I started blogging in March 2010 as a way for me to grow and help others by sharing what I learned.
My personal development journey began about 15 years ago.

Lisa: I really loved each one of these videos and the message they shared. What a great idea. I am looking forward to this series you are doing :) Thanks for sharing.
Hi Sibyl,
Thank you. :-) Yes, I thought of putting all 12 videos up at first, but it was just too much for me. After the first several lines of the first one, I am already in tears.
Good stuff.
> Never deprive anyone of hope, it may be all they have.
That’s a memorable line and a sticky one. It strikes a chord of truth in an evergreen way.
Hi J.D.
Thanks for stopping by. Thank you. Yes, that was one of my favorite lines too. Interestingly, I watched the Shawshank Redemption last night for the umpteenth time and hope was all they had. :-) There are so many stories of people lost, clinging to nothing but hope with no gurantee that they will be found. Remember that football player that clung to the sinking boat, suffering from hypothermia in the middle of the ocean…
I love that one about the lion cub. Love will always be rewarded. Reminds me of Androcles :D
Oh, and TGIT!! :D
Yes, that’s one of my favorites too. Really amazing that he recognized them after so much time. I think if my cat left today, she wouldn’t recognize me tomorrow– ok, a little more time than that. :-)
Hi Lisa,
I love Christian the Lion. Everytime I watch it I can’t help but smile.
Thanks for finding all of these. I will be sure to pass them on.
Bryce
Hi Bryce,
Thanks. It is such a wonderful video. Thanks for stopping by. :-)
Great video shares Lisa. It’s amazing how much great stuff is amongst our fingertips. The challenge is just finding time for it all, and of course finding the good stuff. I appreciate this post because it’s aligned me with the good stuff!.
Thanks JK. I completely agree. There is so much good stuff in the world and not enough time to experience it all; but we don’t have to. If we experience the good that we have fully, we will want for nothing. :-)
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for sharing these videos. We all can get some inspiration from the inspirational videos. I always go on youtube and listen to something that inspires me like “the power of the subconscious mind” among others. Thanks for sharing Lisa
Hi Dia,
I agree. Sometimes we need to look at someone elses story to see just how good we really have it.
Hi Lisa,
I am a big fan of watching youtube videos. When I am lacking in the inspirational department I go to youtube and look for something inspirational to watch.
Hi Justin,
Same here! There is nothing like seeing and hearing an inspirational story that makes you evaluate your life.
Hi Lisa,
What a wonderful list of videos. They all seem to deliver the right message, which is to stay positive. Can’t wait to see the other ones!
Hey there Vic. Thanks for stopping by. Glad you found them helpful. I always find that there is nothing like an inspirational video to help me stop feeling sorry for myself. Have a great day.
