Life Lessons from a Multi Millionaire

by Lisa H. on November 29, 2011

Note: This is a guest post by M.Farouk Radwan of 2knowmyself.

Yesterday I was attending a session lectured by a multimillionaire who is very famous in his country for both his wealth and his success.

Certainly there are lots of people who can inspire others to succeed even if they didn’t succeed themselves yet but when you hear about a success story from a person who already succeeded you get a very powerful motivation boast.

That’s why I decided to summarize some of the important life lessons that I learned in the lecture and share them with you.

The Life lessons I learned

1)      Very strong belief in himself:  Marc Ferreira, the man who was giving the lecture said that before he even became successful in businesses he used to tell his friends that if they followed him blindly he will make millionaires out of them in few years. This reflects the powerful belief the man had of himself before he even realized any success. Many people think that success must happen before the belief can be strong but the story of marc who became a famous millionaire confirms the opposite. Have a strong belief in yourself and you will succeed

2)      Bold: Some of Marc’s motivating words were really harsh. While talking he stopped and said, look guys, if you want me to make you happy then that’s so easy but if you want me to motivate you then I must tell you the truth. As much as marc’s words were bold there were very realistic. If you became a people pleaser then you are less likely to deviate from the group and you are more likely to live in your comfort zone but if you dared to become bold enough then you will change the world

3)      Crazy: Marc was trying to market a new business in Egypt but he was originally from india. There were lots of challenges such as the language barrier and because of that one person told marc. An Indian can never take over the Egyptian market. Marc replied saying, that’s true, one Indian can’t take over the market but a crazy Indian can! I only need to find some crazy people here in Egypt who are crazy enough to accept the idea and that’s enough to make  me successful.  Nowadays the business Marc was marketing for which is called Qnet has its largest market in Egypt!!

4)      Unpredictable: What do you expect the first action would be from a multi millionaire at the beginning of his session? It could be introducing himself or telling a story right? Marc made his assistant play an Egyptian song (because the lecture was in Egypt) and he started dancing. Moreover he waved with his hands to let the people in the room dance and within seconds everyone was dancing!! Marc later said that he is highly unpredictable and for certain that was one of the reasons of his success. When you become predictable or in other words when you think like everyone else you are very likely to end up where they ended!  If you want to achieve what others have never achieved then you must do what they have never done!

Top notch Farouk – his status doesn’t reflect his level of money in the bank but his level of strong belief in his mind. That’s where worth turns to wonder. Great share brother blogger!

Great post Farouk!

I’m always interested in reading what made or makes the Great great. This was a wonderful example of that interest. I heard someone say once, “It pays to be Underestimated!” I think this fella proved just that. Thanks for sharing. :)

Beautiful.

> if you dared to become bold enough then you will change the world
I especially like that point. There is a power in being bold … thinking bold thoughts and taking decisive, bold action. That’s the stuff game changers are made from.

Bold was a great description here.

My background is in a company that has run thousands of behavior assessments on managers and executives. We find that a common thread in their behaviors is their ability to be bold, daring, and challenging.

Looks like you found the same observation.

Good work Farouk,

Bryce

That first one has been my struggle for many years, but things are really beginning to turn around for me. Slowly, I am becoming a better person with more belief in myself and what I can do. Somehow, I don’t feel it will be too much longer before I start having the success I have wanted.

Thanks for the great post!
